Ecoloop is an AI-powered mobile app designed to simplify recycling and promote responsible waste disposal, especially tailored to the UK's government bin system. Users can scan a product's barcode or take a photo, and the app intelligently identifies the item using AI and external APIs to guide users on exactly which bin to use.
Beyond just sorting, Ecoloop educates users by providing detailed disposal instructions, environmental impact insights, carbon contamination warnings, and recyclability scores.
It also gamifies sustainability by awarding badges for eco-friendly behavior. I was responsible for designing the entire app experience and creating the brand’s logo, focusing on clarity, accessibility, and a friendly visual language that makes sustainability feel easy, informative, and actionable.
